John F. Monticello, DDS, MS

Dr. Monticello graduated from the University of Michigan where he earned his undergraduate degree in pre-med Biology. He went on to receive his doctorate from the University of Detroit Dental School and his Masters Degree and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy Orthodontic Residency Program.

Dr. Monticello is a Diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontics and stays up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics through ongoing continuing education classes. He is active with professional associations and is the past-president of the Michigan Association of Orthodontists (MAO), is the Editor of the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (GLAO), a Delegate with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Secretary of the Michigan Council of Dental Specialists and maintains membership with the West Michigan District Dental Society (WMDDS), the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States (AMSUS).

Dr. Monticello has recently retired from the United States Air Force/ Michigan Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel, after a 27-year career as a commissioned officer. He served in Korea and Desert Storm, several state-side bases and Selfridge ANG Base, Michigan, in support of the Iraq war and the current national security efforts.

Outside of the office, Dr. Monticello has been married for over 25 years to the love of his life and is proud of his three children. Enriched and rewarded by family life, he enjoys travelling, boating and volunteering in the community, with his church and as an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America.
